Hi there,

I just got AI to do another rebuild of Snowbistro.com. There’s now a new ski trade hub which includes the directory and the ski operator comparison. I'm one person in the High Tatras. Two years ago this would have been an agency job.

I mention it because the same shift is changing how your customers find you.

Are you in the AI answer?

Open ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity and type the question your customer asks. “Which UK operators do catered chalets in Méribel?” “Who's the best ski transfer company from Geneva?” Then look at who gets named, and where the answer came from.

AI assistants don't make up their recommendations. They piece them together from what's been written about you on other people's websites. Ahrefs looked at almost a million ChatGPT prompts and found it leans heavily on Wikipedia and news sites. A third party saying you exist counts for much more than your own website saying you're brilliant.

So the question isn't “how do I rank”. It's “what has been written about me, and where?”

The Visibility Pack

That's what the Visibility Pack is for. One payment of £795, no retainer.

  • A press release written from your brief

  • Distribution to news and business syndication sites

  • A placement in a relevant “best of” listicle on an established site

  • A labelled release in the Snowbistro newsroom

  • Release and report links on your Snowbistro profile

  • A placement report showing where your story appeared

You send your news, a new chalet, resort, transfer route or hire. I write it, you approve it, nothing goes out until you do. The release lands about 7 days later and the listicle from about 14.

I've been helping ski brands with search since 2016, including Basecamp, Coda Travel, S'No Queen and FluidCar. One client went from page 3 to #1 for “ski instructor courses”. Another grew organic traffic 250% in two years.

Two things I'll be straight about. Nobody can guarantee you a place in a ChatGPT answer, and anyone who does is selling you something. And this is paid promotion, not journalism, so your release won't claim you're the best at anything. It doesn't buy you a higher spot on the Snowbistro board either.

If you've got news before the season starts, now's the time.

Also new on Snowbistro

A site for skiers. The front of snowbistro.com now speaks to UK skiers planning a trip, comparing operators, hire, transfers and lessons by resort. The people looking at your directory listing are the people booking.

A home for the ski trade. Everything for the industry now lives at snowbistro.com/ski-trade: this newsletter, the Ski Trade Marketing & AI LinkedIn group (71 members) and any services I offer.

The Directory. snowbistro.com/directory lists 100 suppliers, and works like the board I run in padel at BidPadel. Listing is free, suppliers can bid from £10 to move up their category, and whoever leads a category at the end of the month gets featured in this newsletter. Alpy.com was the first to bid and this is what the new profile pages look like. Get listed free.

Questions, or want to tell me what ChatGPT said about you? Just hit reply, I read everything.

Cheers!
